Cookie Policy

Last updated June 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Squires Studios, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://www.squiresstudios.com (the "Website").

This policy applies only to the Website. The Couples Therapy iOS mobile application does not use browser cookies. Data collection within the mobile app is governed by our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide reporting information to website owners.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Squires Studios, LLC) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website.

Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies for two purposes:

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or behavioral profiling. We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run any advertising on the Website.

Cookies we use

CookiePurposeProviderTypeRetention
Site preferences Remember interface preferences (e.g., light/dark mode), cookie consent choice First-party (squiresstudios.com) Essential Up to 12 months
_ga Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated identifier. Used by Google Analytics 4 to measure visits. Google Analytics (Google LLC) Analytics 2 years
_ga_<container-id> Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4 properties. Google Analytics (Google LLC) Analytics 2 years

The Google Analytics container ID for our property is specific to our installation. The exact cookies and their lifetimes are controlled by Google and may change. See Google's documentation on GA4 cookie usage for current details.

About Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our Website. Google Analytics collects information including:

Google Analytics does not capture your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information from our Website (we don't collect any of those). The information is aggregated to give us an anonymized picture of Website traffic.

Google processes this data under its own terms. For details on how Google uses data, see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services."

How to opt out of Google Analytics

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking in several ways:

Opting out of Google Analytics will not affect your ability to use the Website.

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. There are several ways to do this:

On our website

If we display a cookie consent banner, you can use that banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Essential cookies cannot be rejected because they are strictly necessary to provide the Website.

In your browser

Most browsers let you refuse, accept, or delete cookies. The method varies by browser:

If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Website, but some functionality may be limited.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites you visit. There is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals at this time, so our Website does not currently respond to them differently than to other visitors. If a standard emerges that we are required to follow, we will update this policy.

Other tracking technologies

In addition to cookies, websites may use other technologies such as web beacons (small tracking pixels) or local storage. Google Analytics may use such technologies in the course of tracking visits. We do not separately use these technologies beyond what is described above for essential operation and Google Analytics.

We do not use Flash cookies (Local Shared Objects). Adobe Flash was deprecated by Adobe at the end of 2020 and is no longer supported by modern browsers.

We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels (such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, TikTok Pixel, etc.). We do not participate in cross-site advertising networks.

About the mobile app

The Couples Therapy iOS application does not use browser cookies. Information collected by the App (such as your Sign in with Apple identifier hash, push notification device token, and conversation content) is described in our Privacy Policy. The App uses TelemetryDeck — not Google Analytics — for anonymous app usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not use cookies and does not collect IP addresses or other personal identifiers.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.

Where can I get further information?
